How is reading time worked out?
Reading time uses 238 words per minute, the average silent reading speed for adults. Speaking time uses 150 words per minute, a steady pace for talks and voice-overs.
Does it count words in other languages?
Yes. Words are found with your browser's built-in language rules, so Ukrainian, Spanish, German, and most other languages count correctly.
Is my text saved anywhere?
No. The counting happens in your browser. Nothing is sent or stored.
