Questions
What is the percentage range table for?
It shows the result for a whole series of percentages at once, such as 1% to 20% by 1%. Use it to compare discount levels, raises, commissions, tax rates, or growth scenarios without recalculating each one.
How do I calculate a percentage increase?
Subtract the starting value from the new value, divide by the starting value, and multiply by 100. From 500 to 575 is (575 − 500) ÷ 500 × 100 = 15%.
What is the difference between markup and margin?
Markup is the percentage added to the cost. Margin is the profit as a percentage of the selling price. A 25% markup on $100 gives $125, which is a 20% margin.
Can I paste the table into Excel or Google Sheets?
Yes. Use Copy table for a spreadsheet, then paste. Each value lands in its own cell.
